Makla & The Fez is more than a bar; it's a gathering place for those who appreciate good conversation, thoughtful design, exceptional drinks, and a touch of the unexpected.

To ensure everyone enjoys their experience, we ask our members and their guests to follow a few simple rules and embrace the spirit of the house. 

 

House Rules

1. Membership & Access 

Membership is personal and non-transferable. Please check in with our host on arrival. 

Guests are welcome, up to three at a time unless otherwise agreed. You are responsible for their behaviour. 

 

2. Phones, Photos & Privacy 

We encourage presence. Discretion is part of our charm. 

No flash photography, filming, or video calls inside the lounge. 

Please keep your phones on silent and step outside to take calls. 

 

3. Respect the Vibe 

Treat staff, members, and guests with kindness and respect at all times. 

Aggressive, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour won’t be tolerated. 

We reserve the right to pause or cancel membership for any breach of conduct. 

 

4. Dress the Part 

We don’t do dress codes, but we do ask that you make an effort, think relaxed elegance with personality. 

Offensive slogans, sports kits, or beachwear may not fit the mood. 

 

5. A Grown-Up Space 

Our venue is designed for adults. Children are not permitted in the lounge. 

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace but not inside during evening service. 

 

6. Bookings & Fees 

Memberships renew annually and may be paused or withdrawn at our discretion. 

Any event or lounge bookings are subject to availability and may require a deposit.
